Join The Suit Curaçao today, Monday September 2nd, 2019 as Day 3 of this unigue Curacao adventure starts from the Curaçao Sea Aquarium Park at approximately 12:30pm!
The Suit Curaçao will continue this afternoon swimming from east with the goal of reaching the CARMABI Research Station located at the headquarters of the CARMABI Foundation in Piscaderabaai.
Highlights of today's swim will include;
Curaçao Sea Aquarium Park - approximately 12:30pm - The Suit Curaçao will depart the Curaçao Sea Aquarium Park, passing by the Coral Restoration Foundation Curaçao's (CRFC) primary coral nursery site, located on the Ocean Encounters housereef (Stella Maris) and adjacent to LionsDive Beach Resort.
“The significance of the Curaçao Reef Restoration Program is that together as a community here on Curaçao, we will be restoring our shallow water reef system while educating our youth about the importance of protecting and preserving our natural ecosystem,” according to Pol Bosch, CRF Curacao, who adds: “I believe programs like this help solidify a natural sustainability for future generations.”
After leaving the coral nursery, The Suit Curaçao will head west towards Marie Pampoen, arriving at approximately 1:00pm to take a short break and to visit with Arthur Curiel, a retired Sports Educator who relentlessly volunteers to assist many Curaçao seniors to stay active through swimming practices at the Marie Pampoen pier.
Diving back in, The Suit Curaçao will continue the swim west passing Boca Simon (approx. 1:40pm), The Strand, Avila Beach Hotel, Pietermaai Boutique Hotel, Marichi and then arriving at the famous Queen Emma Floating Pontoon Bridge in St. Annabaai at approximately 3:00pm.
The Suit Curaçao then will safely cross the St. Annabaai harbor entrance moving west again, initially passing the Rif Fort then the new Curaçao Port Authority - Cruise Ship Terminal - swimming right over Curaçao's most iconic shipwreck and a top Caribbean Dive Site, The MV Superior Producer.
Last Stop will be at approximately 5:00pm - Arriving at the CARMABI Foundation inside Piscaderabaai will signal the completion of the day for The Suit Curaçao! Stay Tuned... will be be posting a summary later in the day!
